The impedance for a 30" ribbon is 1.8 ohms, if you run that speaker with any amp, you have a very good chance of damaging it. Even if you put that one completely back together, it will continue to read .4 ohms, the magnetic field does not change the impedance of the speaker, just the thickness of the aluminum trace. The aluminum you are using, just by dividing 1.8 by .4, is 4.5 times thicker than what you need....
The cost to send it to us is $235 (plus shipping) and it will come back to you as new as it had come from the factory.
As far as the where we get out supply, the company that we get the Kapton, the same as the OEM material, only sells in $5000 usd bulk amounts.
