Close look at my ribbons

I've attached a photo of my Mark IV Platinum ribbon. Two questions:

There are a couple places where the aluminum foil has delaminated from the kapton (as seen in photo). Is this level of delamination a problem?

Also, if you look closely, you'll notice that the aluminum traces are not aligned with the opening between the magnet structures. The left trace is a few millimeters away from the magnet and the right trace is slightly under the magnet. Is this common or an issue?

Thanks,

Brent

Your pic is too big, looks bad and I can't tell what's what. How about another smaller pic.

Yes, much better....thanks.

On looks alone I'd say you've got some issues, but if they aren't buzzing don't worry about it.

When I buy Kapton it sometimes comes with some little wrinkles in it. I`ve had some of the wrinkles on my own set of Platnums for years and have not had any trouble as of yet. If you were to have a problem that is where I would expect it to be but until than run`um like you own`um.

I believe they are original, like DaveS said. I was told by the previous owner that they had not be repaired.
