Weird! How does the surround connect to the basket?

Bad Ass Sub, Toy Maker!

Mr. Rabbit, Look at pic 2. Looks like the surround has kind of a clip ring and the steel ring to hold the surround back in place. I don't know if there's some kind of screw or just snap back onto it's position.

nope, no bolts at all... The steel ring fits real snug over the surround, and tight to the basket, then there is an aluminum band that snaps on, and hold the ring tight to the basket. It's really a pretty cool design. Someone was REALLY thinking outside the box to come up with this design!!! I haven't looked close enough, but if the spider is mechanicly held in place too, and not glued, you could re-cone one of these in 1 minute yourself.

The only set that was finished is the set in my living room...
I made (3) sets of panels at the same time, but never finished them.
Ray bought a set of the extra panels @ CarverFest last year, and the 3rd pair are sitting here in my shop.
The desing was good, and the sound is great, but I am ready for something new... Been looking at these for about 7 years now.
DaveS (my dad) is buying the AL-V's I have been using, and will be replacing his Platinums with them.
