Carver Amazings???

Hi,
It's just one of those stupid "best offer" situations I hate!
Some guy has a pair of Amazings for sale. Black finish.
And he doesn't know anything else about them.
I would really want to have at least an idea of what to offer before I go see them.
Had (and have) some Carver gear over the years but never speakers.
Any input will be appreciated.

I paid 1000.00 for mine , it was a local pick up , original owners , never abused and looked brand new....im sure you will have to examine the ribbons and Dave of this forum is the go-to guy for those...also the woofers..I have heard the replacements have gone up in price....Take some piano music with you and listen to any buzzing from ribbons.....Take off grills ( the screws are on the back , just don't pull them off . Check the foam surrounds....
