MK II subwoofer connection question..

Hi.
I have MKII True Subwoofer that a friend lent to me. I want
to connect it to my system but, since i am an electronics ignoramus,
i can't figure out how to do it. Everything in the manual is for connection
to a Pre Amp and Amp configuration, and I have an Integrated Amp---a BAT
Vk300. The BAT has balanced Pre Amp outputs and I'm thinking that I could
more than likely just connect them to the line level inputs on the sub. Is
that correct, or am i missing something?

As for how to hook up you might want to use the speaker level inputs. It's hard to explain how but if you connect a second pair of speaker cables to your amps binding posts you can plug them into the binding posts on the sub. I have not done this but I have read about it. That might be a solution for you.

Depending on what type/kind of satellite speakers you are using, you may or may not want to run them full-range. Depending on which of these configurations you choose, you may need an external crossover.

You can get a balanced to unbalanced converter, run your converted pre-outs to the sub and run the sub outs to the power amp ins on your integrated (if they are separable).

said i should just hook the sub up the way that i indicated
in my original post...

i'm gonna go for it. hopefully i won't blow up my (very expensive) amp..
