The thing that got me about that article is the statement that for phase coherence, only a first order crossover will do!??? A first order crossover changes the phase in the passband by 90º. A capacitor changes it one direction and an inductor the other. That didn't make sense to me. A 4th order Linkwitz-Riley filter changes the phase 360º (or zero). That makes sense to me.
It should sound like it isn't there!
