Just talked to a Carver fan in NC...

..named Wayne Bumgarner. He's going to try to make it to CF this year, at least for the day (last Saturday) with his Dad, who's also a fan. He'll be traveling about 90 minutes (lives somewhere east of Asheville).

Wayne bought a pair of Original ALS & has been driving them for a little while with a small Hafler amp. He was searching on the web about active bi-amping & ran across my AL-III mod thread on the Klipsch forum, then PM'd me on AudioKarma (convoluted way to reach me!).

We talked for about an hour during lunch today about his concerns with biamping his Originals (he replaced Phase Linear Andromeda's) & I invited him to come on out to CF. His Dad had purchased Phase Linear stuff back in the day, then gave the Andromeda's to him.

The hook is set.......~ :lol:

In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

I'm not sure, Wayne. I do know his Dad currently has a pair of ALS Silvers.

Hey Gary, did you happen to ask them if they were planning on eating with us? We are having breakfast between 9 and 10 that morning and dinner at 6:00PM. They are more than welcome to join us at the table but I need to know whether or not to count them in. Whenever you get a chance, could you find out for me, please?

If they would like to join us at the table, the same deal goes for them as everybody else....$10 per person and since it will only be them two and only for one day, it would obviously tally up to 20 smackers, if they are interested.
