What Kind of Camera Are You Bringing to CarverFest?

Well, today dad upgraded his camera to a Cannon Rebel EOS XS (SSSOOOO jealous...........) so he sold me his Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50.
The guy at the Ritz Camera shop that sold us the Sony camera about 2 years ago said it was the best point & camera you could get without getting an digital SLR...

All I can say is WOW !!!

hese days to operate a camera you need to have a degree in computers.
It used to be light meters and hoping to get one good shot on film.
These days, you take a bunch with different settings and hope one will be good.

At the end of the day, it is all still about the lens.
That is why they still cost more than the cameras.

Yeah, snagged a 10MP Canon SLR for $250 yesterday. No way I could pass that up.
I've been using the high prices of a decent SLR as my excuse not to buy one for 3 years.
$250 I couldn't go wrong. My used Sony is worth more than that. So Alex is going to take the Sony, and I get to upgrade for free 8)

The reason it was so cheap was it was missing the battery charger. Bought 2 more new batteries and the charger for $15 on eBay when I got home :lol:

Very nice. Good score!

I don't remember what camera I have. Some cheep POS that I bought a few years ago for $150. I think it is 10mp, or close to it but it is nothing to write home about. Though I do not take many pic's anyway so it really does not matter.

I got my wife an older version of that same camera years ago (8MP I think) You got better than a half price deal from clearance prices! :lol:

Naaaaa... I will still get a hard on around you guy's cameras. As much as I like mine, I still can't justify THAT kind of $$ on a camera. I don't need to be taking billboard size photos :lol:

I gave my Canon 20D to my daughter in February and purchased a new
Canon 60D (17MP) c/w 18/200mm lens. Its not bad but I still like your 5D.
