THANK YOU FOR DINNER - FUND BUCKET

Post by Toy Maker » Thu Jan 04, 2018 2:31 pm

An idea I had today while talking to Tom....

Why not put a "Thank You" bucket at each cabin that is hosting a meal ??
No obligations. No expectations. PERIOD !!!!

I have never felt very comfortable going to other cabins, eating dinner, and leaving. I think this would be a great way for everyone to say "THANK YOU" for hosting a meal for everyone. At the same time, giving everyone who donates, a chance to help compensate the cost of hosting a meal for everyone.

I am not opposed to this in general. However, from my perspective, I look at the expense of our annual Low Country Boil as a gift to my CF Friends.

I agree... When we did a dinner, it was for fun, and made us feel good. But going to others cabins, knowing what has to go into it, I still felt a little "off"
Dropping $5-10, would defiantly have made me feel better.

It's just an idea....

X2

Honestly I hadn't given money a thought. What I would like to see is wider participation. Remember the obligation in 2008.

That aside, now there was some eatin'

Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.

I like this idea as well, for similar reasons as dad, but it's more because of there being 5 of us (the sauters) and all of us going around enjoying all the other meals. I know how much work it takes to put these feasts together and I'd feel good donating as well :)

Personally, never gave it a thought. Not sure how meals are going this year anyway lol. Have to get through the reservations AND now the amp build mess first.
