Bob Carver's "CarverFest" 20w Tube Amplifier
Hehe, no. I meant one that wouldn't have a tendency to ruin the tips of the soldering guns and ones that weren't as flammable. That's all. Any and all suggestions are always welcome.
In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

Mark says these would be good and you claim they are a fire hazard.
I am a rookie and I guess you guys are just playing with me as I try to help.
burnin' down the house....
No, Bill. I believe you misunderstood. Mark had mentioned that these would be great for protecting the chassis [powder coating] during the build, not for table protection from the soldering irons possibly falling/burning the expensive wood Dining Room table that belongs to the Cabins. It's all good.

Don't forget cheap cotton gloves for handling your tubes.
I have one 25' , 15 amp multi outlet cord we can use for soldering. I usually lay out an old bedsheet in several layers to solder on; it prevents solder bits from rolling when they hit & gives a soft surface for protecting the table & your amp. It kinda hard to burn all the way thru it before you smell something....
Tom, I thought a 30-amp cord had a different connector...? I have a 20-amp 100' cord & one terminal is sideways...it will only fit in a 20-amp receptacle.

WTF was I thinking?
You are correct, Rabbit. It must be a 15 amp cord.

Re: Bob Carver's "CarverFest" 20w Tube Amplifier
I'm bringing a shitload of extension cords. I have TWO of these; one for my system & one for the tube amp build:

Also bringing a 75' 15 amp ext cord with triple end, and one 20 amp heavy duty:

Will still have adequate ventilation with the design and bottom covers or is this a Bob question? If not problem, we are in for three. Again, a novice at this, so pardon the rudimentary question.
James,
Please change my bottom cover order from 3 to 4. Ended up buying extra tube amp on account of S/N auction Kingman bailed on!
