my letter to harry concering fest 2012

Post by frenchguy » Sun Jul 22, 2012 9:14 am

harry,I really hate to be the bearer of bad news but have no choice, been putting this off but now i know that there is no way we can make it to carverfest. the end of march I was diagnosed with endocarditis, its a blood infection that spread to my heart valve, after 6 weeks of anti biotics it spread to another heart valve, on may 14th I had open heart surgery to replace my heart valves & then 7 more weeks of IV antibiotcs, then while recovering on july 17th had a operation to remove 1 litre of fliud from my heart & 2 litres of fluid from the right lung. so now it is clear that I will not be able to work until sometime in sept depending how cardic rehab goes. It has been one hell of a summer, I have not worked since march 25. so we regret to tell you we are not gonna make it!! we were really looking forward to it but like most things this summer it was not in the cards! I am so very sorry harry & hope you can find a roomate before the fest!! take care, AL & Melody Rougeux again we very sorry but sometimes life sucks but atleast Im still alive!! sorry everyone, we will miss you all & will be back in 2013!! take care all of you!

Sad news indeed. Health first, obviously and best wishes sent for a speedy recovery. It sounds like you have been through hell and back with this but at the same time, it appears as if you are progressing well. Harry, we'll figure out something. If anybody has an extra room or any ideas, please let us know.

Al,

We will miss you and your lovely wife at this year's Fest. Sounds like you are on the upswing and the worst is behind you. Best to you from your Carverfest family. Prayers sent.

Al & Melody...sooo sorry to hear of your problems.

I'm not much of a prayer but I will pray for you. Since he doesn't hear from me often maybe he will notice.

You guys were one of the highlights for me at the last fest.

I don't know what else to say but why does bad shit happen to good people?
