In to the hospital I must go!!!!!!!!!

Post by Eddie » Fri Jul 19, 2013 3:35 pm

I have not said anything about getting sick online but I have made some time to call a few of you guys! I have been out of work for about 4 weeks now but sick for about 6 weeks. Started with a bug I got and the doc gave me some antibiotics to fix that. After that me heart went into Atrial Fibrillation. My doctor wanted to put me in the hospital at that time but I got him to work this out at home, he agreed only because he has done alot of test on me last year. But now that I have been getting better the next step I found out today is to shock the heart in a procedure to get it to run in the right heart rhythm. This is going to happen in the next two weeks, when ever they can fit me in. Biggest problem coming up mom is going in for a full knee replacement in three weeks. Boy the old saying when it rain it pours. I know Carverfest is around the corner and I can't wait to see you guys. If anyone is coming early like on the 11th or 12th and may be around to give me a hand I may need it getting my gear into the Cabin don't know what type of shape I will be in but I don't want to push myself!

Thanks Eddie!

Eddie,

I can tell you're not yourself - you wrote a couple of sentences that didn't end with your usual, characteristic exclamation mark.

Seriously, forget about lifting - you know you'll get all the help you need. Just get there.

Eddie, I know exactly what your going through, had endocarditis, double valve replacement & afib for about 6 months last year, that procedure to shock your heart is pretty common for afib, my doc talked about it but put me on metoprolol instead & that controlled it pretty well until my heart finally healed & stayed in rythmm, take one day at a time, things will get better, afib is more common then you think! take care, see ya in 8 weeks, dont worry about hauling gear, enough of us there to do it for you!!

Eddie,

Best to the both of you. Atrial Fib sometimes is an easy fix with a digitalis medicine. Glad you and your Doc are on top of it. Experienced that back in my late 20's after a state racquetball tournament. Diagnosed with MVP. Doc prescribed Lanoxin, which I have been on ever since. Never a problem since.

We will pray everyone works out well and a simple fix. Regarding your Mom, rehab is key. Make sure she follows through with a good rehab specialist.

Look forward to seeing you at Carverfest. Keep us updated on both you and your Mom's progress.
