Maybe..."The Preamp Formerly Known As Sunfire Vacuum Tube Preamp" would be most appropriate! =;

That's quite an upgrade. Should be even more remarkable. What a list!!

Impressive list! I'd like to hear your review when its done!
I 've used FRED diodes in the "downtracker" (smps supply) in my 3 MKII subs and reduced the noise component.
Never thought of using them in a 60 hz supply seems like overkill, but from an audiophile perspective sounds great lol.
Excess performance is good!

Okay I think it might be time for an intervention! Talking with Joseph we are deciding to add WBT NextGen Silver RCA Chassis plugs and I'm considering having him add in his TP 8.1.1 Phono Board while he has it there:

http://www.audio-horizons.com/pages/phono.html

This would address the two features I didn't order when I bought it new, a remote and a phono stage.
What do you guys and gals think? Good idea or am I in need of counseling?

save me from myself!!

I'm on the fence about the RCA's but I would go for the phono stage.

Why yes! With pictures no less!!

The V-Caps have been installed, looks like he is working on the WBT RCA jacks as well. I think that those are also the ceramic tube sockets. He did say that he had to custom fit the new toggle switches, those were a big pain in the ass it seems. Had to be filed and fitted all by hand. I tell ya, this is gonna be something else when its all said and done. $$$$.

Do those caps make my board look big?

Well, they are certainly expensive enough! The 6 caps matched to .5% were $1,800....these are the CuTF V-Caps supposedly the best caps in the business!

Since you are going "all in" I would suggest looking into some Siemens CCa or Telefunken CCa, either one will have a premium holographic sound stage with a very low noise floor. Also in the same category would be Amperex Holland made 7308 D-getter. The best of the best of these tubes were made pre 1960. Somewhere around 1957 to 1959 vintage seems to do well no mater where they are placed.

1959 thru 1962 Mullard 6922 wrinkle glass will run a strong second to any of the above tubes at probably 1/3 the cost.
Snoop can also fill you in on his findings.

If your coming to CF you are welcome to roll my collection if you please.
