Thanks for posting that Angelo. I just made a contribution. Bill was an asset to the Carver community and a friend.
In reality, it only matters what it sounds like to YOU!!!

Since I am not a member of the "other site", tried to donate as a guest and would not let me. ](*,) It appears will have to register as member to donate on Bill's behalf. Just a head's up for those of us that are not members.

I am already a registered member over there and I had to register in the pay thingy to donate to the BillD fund.
I think it's the store software or something.
You could probably just donate to his paypal account but then he might not know what it's for.
Regardless of whatever is going on,
you can be pretty confident that Rich isn't going to screw anyone in relation to something as serious as this.
Heck, tell you what,
if anything goes wrong, I'll cover it.
Don't want any inter-forum strife here.
It would be in terribly bad taste.

No can do. When you try and donate/check out as guest, takes you back to registration page even though acknowleges amt. in cart. ](*,)

Martin,

No one is implying Rich (whoever he is) is going to screw anyone. I merely pointed out could not check out as guest. Sorry interpreted as such. I do not see any inter-forum issue here at all. Just trying to donate is all.

I thought I had to enter info too
You can just type * in the info

Longer explanation:

martin1970;84505 wrote:
I tried doing it as a guest and it still seemed to want all of the same personal info.
I was a bit leery, not knowing if there was a third party company handling it.
Anyway, figured I had to give it all my info anyway, so I just registered.

RichP replied:
I don't think it verifies anything, since there's no shipping address, you can enter anything you want in the required fields (asterisk)
The only third party involved is USPS (if there is shipping) and Paypal

Anyway, like I said Don, if it goes wrong on you, I'll pay it out of pocket no hesitation.

And I didn't think for one second that you were saying anything bad.
Just being extra careful

ok so i also tried to go as a guest without access although this is what i got in a pm from rich. i would think he know's his site and i will post it just the same. i personally do not see a problem being a member with/of rich's site as he has graciously helped me on several amps that i worked on for many hours without anything more than a thank you in return. thanks again rich. so here it is:

. There is no need to register, either at CARVER site or at the ceebang store, in order to make a donation

The member at CARVER audio named Don is incorrect, please let everyone there know

MOST people's donations so far have just been under a 'guest' account. There is a blank spot to fill in for amount, and another for member name ( So I can add your name to the card, you can make up any name, you don't have to be registered, please let people at CA know that

Donation Done in Bill's honor. Never had any luck donating as a guest, (may be my computer skills) so went ahead and registered. No big deal, just took a little more time.

I have a PDF example of the card Rich is making up to send to Nancy on all his Carver friend's behalf. Can't figure out how to attach it, so if you want to see, please PM or email me with your email & I'll send to you.

Text is as follows--the real font is very fancy & has "The world is full of people; there will always be a limited number of human beings” imposed over the pic (a Van Gogh).

Dear Nancy,
A donation of $1960 was made to both the US and Canadian Olympic teams, in honor of Bill.
We thank you for sharing your William with us; his participation in the Carver audio related
forums greatly enriched our lives.
We are all the better for having known Bill; his spirit is multiplied through each person he has
touched so deeply.
