Lou Reed Dead at 71

Post by Shortcake » Sun Oct 27, 2013 12:41 pm

RIP Lou Reed.

“All through this, I’ve always thought that if you thought of all of it as a book then you have the Great American Novel, every record as a chapter,” he told Rolling Stone in 1987. “They’re all in chronological order. You take the whole thing, stack it and listen to it in order, there’s my Great American Novel.”

And what a novel it would be!

Seems like the news can't figure out if he is dead, alive or rising from the dead. I need a drink. I have done so many interviews on this, my head is spinning

“I have never thought of music as a challenge — you always figure the audience is at least as smart as you are,” he wrote. “You do this because you like it, you think what you’re making is beautiful. And if you think it’s beautiful, maybe they think it’s beautiful.” Lou Reed obit in the NYT

Confirmed, only after many idiots tried to steal the spotlight from the man and his music.

Now similar hoax going on about Celine DIon - Don't go opening posts about her death - there IS a virus attached - she is alive and well as of today.
