Needed A phono preamp.

Post by helicopterpilotdoug » Sun Sep 14, 2014 8:56 am

Have been trying to use the Sunfire tube pre as the phono stage and then using the tape monitor outs to feed the Raven integrated. Am getting no sound that way. Wondering if the tape monitor out is the problem. Yes, have tried the tape monitor switch both on and off.

Does anyone have a good tube phono stage I could try and see if it will get the turntable hooked up to the inputs on the Raven integrated?

Thanks
Doug

Never mind!!!
Harry is a fucking genius!! He came by and spotted the problem!! I had removed the turntable RCA's to clean them, and when I plugged them back in I put them in the inverse phono line in. ](*,) We switched them to the MM in and that cured the problem. Thank you Harry :D

Doug, the Sunfire Tube pres phono stage is a really fine piece and there is really no need to look elsewhere.
