Speaker Kit STANDS

Post by Toy Maker » Wed Jan 28, 2015 11:29 am

I'm going to be incorporating a few things from the stands/bases into the speaker design....
There are a few really cool things I can do and add to make to them work really well together.
All aluminum construction. Binding posts at the bottom of the stand. Internal wiring, NL2 or XLR connectors incorporated into the bottom of the speaker and the top of the stand.

I expect the stands to run right around $150 a set, and another $30-50 to ship.
Please POST HERE and let me know how many people are seriously interested in the matching stands to go along with the speaker kits.

IMHO stands should be an option like the crm 2 stands. Do you plan to have any hold down bracket or some way to attach the speakers to the stands? I'd prefer speakers made in a traditional way with the the binding posts on the speakers. Just my 2 pennies worth.

I need to clarify my opinion...I like the bottom binding posts as an OPTION to be incorporated into the stands and wired to the tops with quality wire and quality binding posts. The speakers would have their own set of binding posts which could be used with an optional jumper or separately with your existing speaker cables. Some type of bracket as in the crm2's should be incorporated to ensure speaker stability.

The place I was thinking of for my ribbons would completely preclude stands.

The graceful and beautiful stands of the CRM's is outstanding. Bet they cost a lot more though.

I like the idea of making a hiddle wiring scheme, just have concern whether that would completely blow what I was thinking of for them. ??? In any case, thanks for thinking about ways to make them better and more useful!

Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.

What is it with these old ass people... didn't they at least have the pony express when they were young?

You do know... they have these new fangled flying machines now that can transport objects from one place to another. ](*,)

Only Brian's a$$ is old- he is still a child at heart and his mind is still that of a child when it comes to his "toys".
- I got yer back Brian, Toymaker can probably disguise the stands as a walker for ya! :D

I thought I said that, I do not know how I would get these back on the plane
Are you going to be suppling shipping material and boxes so they could go in the cargo hole? if so
that would cost me an extra $50.00 for an extra bag.
