Rolling menu screen TG III

Post by bsturgeon89 » Tue Feb 16, 2010 2:34 pm

Here's the problem,

Since I got my remote, sub and center speaker, I thought I would go into the OSD and look at some settings. The OSD menu is rolling or scrolling horizontally and just a tad off center to the right. I've tried using composite and S-video but it didn't help. Has anyone else experienced this problem or know a solution?

Could it be a problem with the TV settings (Its new. Panasonic Plasma 58in.) or a problem with the TG III.

Thanks

Brock

Strange, have you tried your TV/Video button? Can you scroll to different inputs on your TV, like video 1 or video 2? I also have a TGP III and I had to upgrade the version to the latest they had > http://www.sunfire.com/downloads_archive.asp

You may have to program your TV input to accept S-video or composite?

I think it was 3.2 that I upgraded to, mine was at 2. something. The OSD worked for me, this version was for a popping sound I was getting in the speakers and this took care of that. Maybe someone else will reply that knows the fix? I really don't know shit > remember?    Good luck

3.22 is the latest F/W update, but I do not recall seeing anything in any of the previous version updates regarding OSD problems. I was going to recommend trying another cable, but you have already tried both S-video and composite, so that should rule out your cabling. Try updating the F/W and see what happens.

maybe you can try the OSD connected to another display - if you have one?

Switch your TV from 480P to 480I

Good call, Rodney. Brock called me about this last week but I wasn't near a manual to try to figure this out. I had a similar issue with the OSD on a DVD player once & the fix was something like that.

I talked to him last night, and all is fine now.

I'm not sure, he just turned it on and everything worked fine. Probably reset the TV off/on after the connection did it.

Yea thats pretty much how it happend but today for some reason it started doing it again when I went in to it. My version is 3.12. I'm going to update and see if that takes care of the problem. Its not a big issue but it is kind of annoying.

The good news is my neck all ready feels stronger and is toning up!
