Sunfire CRS3C and Cinema Seven

Post by TORO3 » Tue Oct 05, 2010 9:20 pm

You all think the Cinema Seven would sufficiently power the CRS3C in a 3.1 system?

You could use two channels. I think those guys have two sets of binding posts.

What Bill said.

If the Cinema Seven isn't sufficient to power them at 400 wpc into 8 ohms (I believe those speakers are 6 ohms), what the fuck would be sufficient??

For some reason I was under the false impression that only the center speaker could be connected to the center channel on the amp. I guess I could throw the receiver's center preout to the the amps L or R input, and then I could biamp with the front and surround channels.

Thanks for answering the newbie question.

Usually, you take the center pre-out and divide it (with an electronic crossover) into a high band and a low band and deliver that to a two channel amp and to the speaker.
