Ah, that why you needed to make all that room in your car. You need to bring enough bottled Prana to last the entire fest. I've heard whispering's that 'Snob Hill' is built directly on a Vortex so you might be able to attain an even higher state of consciousness while in residence. Just beware of the forces that could be released playing your Sitar music on Carver gear. That's a lot of magic in one place.

Can you put me down for 1 amp kit. Under possible attendees.

Work interferes again this year so I won't be able to make decision about attending until May.
TIA,

Not sure why my I don't show up on the list for Carverfest amps. I have posted on both sites that I wanted two. I am a long time member of The Carversite with over 1600 posts. Surely I Qualify.

I think at this point RobertR and Alex who are building the official list are looking for confirmation of 2018 attendance to be added to the list, Chiro.

That's fair. If I don't qualify, I don't qualify. I will respect that. Because of work travel I can't commit to which days I can attend. I hope to know soon.

.......darn. Good fair rules but I would have loved building one with only the experience gained in building my CF speakers. That was a lot of fun and still thank all involved for the hard work in that build. I listen to mine most days and continue to be amazed with them. Would have loved to have known what they would sound like with my first foray in to tubes. I'm sure they will be matched together by someone there, I just hope you will give that pairing a few more words than "they sounded great!". My biggest hope is that this goes super smoothly and Bob as well as as all of you have a great experience in doing it.

I def remember shaking hands with b-man in cabin 9!
I muled a sunfire subwoofer for Bman, at CF15, that’s the year I had my grandson with me. He was definitely there!

I talked to Bob finally, both yesterday and today. He's been busy and I've been sick, so about a month has passed since we had contact. It's been nice and quiet on the forums; hopefully this blurb will not disturb that sweet state.

Latest on the amp kits is that they will not be distributed as kits all made up, but the parts will be shipped to sea (Ed) in NC ahead of time, and then be brought in bulk to Watershed just before the Fest opens. Then sets of parts will be distributed to kit buyers. Many have expressed their desire to help in any way possible, so hopefully that's not a big worry.

This being the situation, it's obvious that any shipping of kits to members who are eligible but can't attend, or cases of a second unit's being shipped for guys who fly to the Fest from, say, the West Coast, will have to be handled by Fest goers themselves. There will be no individual kits made up by Bob, so they can hardly be shipped by him.

Bob will order parts for a fixed number of kits, and there will be no more in the future. So going forward, there can be no more orders. I'm hoping there will be a few extra kits for guys who are coming for the first time, but can't promise. I was able to cajole him into making quite a few more than he originally planned, but can do no more. Realistically, if a few who already ordered drop out for whatever reason, then I suppose those on a waiting list could be served, though I'm not sure at what price, and shouldn't really speculate at this point.

We talked just a little about financing on the first call, though nothing conclusive was said, except that it's really way too much money to expect him to front it all, especially on what is essentially a profitless venture, so we should think about some sort of prepayment plan, whether partial or full.
That was yesterday. Now, day later, a plan is forming for kit buyers to put up deposits. Final plans are not concluded, as to amount down or due-date, but I just mention this to get people prepared. The Fest is not a year away anymore – more like half a year.
Ed has also offered to handle the collection of funds, and Bob happily agreed.
Final costs will be as was mentioned before, but he still is not clear as to what tubes that would include. I say 'costs', plural, because there will be buyer options as to which [if any] tubes each amp is supplied with.

My own penance is to write the instructions, as I put one together to match the prototype Bob will send.

When I hear more, I will post.
