Thats what i said....treitz3 wrote:Perhaps we should do things the old school way "in the spirit of Carverfest" and start opening up any additional space within the cabins that are already rented. I have offered up additional space in ours to accommodate. I know for a fact others have as well. Instead of everyone bickering? Let's all work to figure out a solution....
MANY of these cabins have 2 bedrooms, right? Yet we all know full well that they can sleep many more. Those with 3 BR's even more.
Utilize your available cots, think about bringing an inflatable bed or having someone come to sleep on the sofa. How many of you have a loft that you are not utilizing that can house someone?
This USED to be the norm. You know, making sure that folks have room to stay.
If not, it is what it is. There are a plethora of other cabins, while not on site, they are close by. Some with mile and a half driveways and 340 degree views, some so secluded you might meet someone that scares even a seasoned backwoods West Virginian, some in downtown Bryson City to where you can wake up downtown, eat a nice breakfast, go to CF and enjoy the afternoon and then retire with a nightcap at one of Bryson City's finest with a quick walk to your downtown loft.
There are a PLETHORA of options for all. Even if it came down to hosting 200 people for a full 2 week period? They have enough cabins to handle it. There are only so many cabins available on the one mountain......but trust me.....there are MANY mountains out there. All within a reasonable distance to one another and all with different lodging tastes. Most are within a 7 mile radius of the Watershed cabins and we are woring on aquiring a list of those that would fit our immediate needs for this year.....with the Carverfest rates.
The bickering should simply stop. There are way too many options that can be had. For all.
