New Bob Carver LLC speakers...

Just saw this posted on Bob Carver LLC Facebook page. Tony is Bob's sales manager:

Tony Ferrero: Bob Carver LLC is coming out with a speaker that has a single ribbon front driver and 4 side fire drivers (2 on each side). We should have them available later this year. The will have an extruded aluminum housing like the new Amazing Line Source Speaker.

Re: New Bob Carver LLC speakers...

Gary,

Sounds like what Bob may have been proposing we build at Caverfest 2012 in discussion with a few of us during Carverfest 2011. Mentioned crossovers could be pre-assembled to save time. Also mentioned Carverfest tube amps would be adequate to power and further suggested powered sub be added to mix for low end.

Re: New Bob Carver LLC speakers...

That looks like a great idea! I would be interested in a set of those for my 2 channel setup.

Looking forward to seeing what the spec's will be for it.

Heck I am excited about the Line Source speakers and they are waaayyyy outside my price range....

Considering his CRM-2s sold for $1600 a pair back in the day I would expect the new versions to retail for around $2500 or more? :-k :-k

That would be pretty cool. A larger set of CRM-2's but better!

I proposed that idea to James at CarverFest last year. I thought a smaller version would be great for surrounds or as a 'less expensive' alternative to the new ALS. Guess I was right:-) It's a bitch I can't afford either.
