Good - waited till you were happy before I added other stuff to this thread. 8)

LEDs are still evolving. I have a lot of them.
Just recently I ran them 5 foot apart along the 200 yd trail to my dock. Lighting them cost almost nothing and since they don't put out heat, the leaves will not catch fire. They were cool shining under that snow we had last month.

In a small environment like an amp, or lighting my roof at Christmas - LEDS are good.
My new 55" TV is back lit by LED.
