Remote For HR-895 AV Receiver
I have a HR-895 that I just repaired but I do not have a remote for it.
I believe it uses a RH-89.
I am looking to buy, borrow or rent a remote so I can copy the functions to a universal remote like a harmony or Sima that I already have.
I also have a parts list and schematics for this unit (in PDF format) and owners manual (paper) that I can copy and snail mail (for the cost of postage).
Can anyone assist......
Thanks LC.....

If I'm not mistaken, you should be able to direct download the commands from the website (Logitech) into a Harmony remote.

What you can download from logitec is pretty limited. Commands are NOT available for adjusting rear, center & sub volumes. These controls are also not available on the unit itself.
Thanks LC

Damn !! I would've bet money that they'd have that model in their database. You could check with Rolland, he still has a stash of Carver remotes. Link below:
http://www.carveraudiorepair.com/
or this one in which the listing is somewhat confusing ( same mod. no. for orig. & replacement)??
http://remotes.com/store/carver/hr895n.html
Good luck

Re: Remote For HR-895 AV Receiver
The HR-895 is listed in the harmony/logitec database. However, there are only limited commands available.
The harmony remotes are set up by "activities". There seems to be custom activity you can create for the center channel volume but nothing for the sub or rear/surround channels. The method for obtaining other additional commands is to copy from another remote........
The HR-895 unfortunately like many AV receivers, does not have any controls on the receiver for center, rear or sub volume and can only be adjusted with the remote.
I have found remotes available for the HR-895 but usually at a outrageous price.
Thanks.... LC
