Re: Analog gear at the Fest......
Analog is kind of a confusing term. Most Carver amps are all analog. Only Sunfire preamps TGP-III on were digital. Speakers are anaolg. Were you referring to turntables? Or valves?
It should sound like it isn't there!

Would cassette and reel to reel tape decks count as analogue?

I'll have my AR, and I think Treitz is bringing his baby.

Sorry, I'm all CD or HDD... don't own a single LP, and I'm trying to get rid of the CD's too... Plan to make everything I have fit in my pocket on a 250GB portable HDD...

Not only as analogue...but also as antique???
Just kiddin' Obi-Obi...
BTW...If anybody would like to get into a nice R-R...I could probably hook 'em up at the fest. Be a perfect opportunity to get one if driving and avoid the heavy shipping damage that costs more than the deck does...

I remember using some of that RS SuperTapeChrome back in the day. It was actually pretty decent stuff.

Yes, I will be bringing the Music Hall MMF-5 TT with an Ortofon cart, a dual sided Nitty Gritty, steam cleaner, air compressor, Rick's Sorbothane isolation riser's, Wagner isolation blocks and a rare, very special to me "The Clamp" that is not made any more. I will be bringing a small collection of vinyl, but I will not be bringing my entire collection. My back wouldn't be able to handle it.
I know I've got some virgin vinyl in there somewhere.

Re: Analog gear at the Fest......
Steve, he said ANTIQUES, not the stuff that NORMAL American motorcycle engines are all about. Pushrods are the tubes of the motorcycle world (IMHO)

Re: Analog gear at the Fest......
I'm saving a few sealed albums for the Fest too. Even a sealed Yes album especially for Maxx, though he doesn't deserve it after last years prank. Toymaker, there's just no hope for Ya. You can wear your audiophile ear buds while we spin some vinyl.
