Bob Carver is Officially Unemployed - November 12 2010

November 12th 2010 is officially Bob Carver's last day working with/for Sunfire Corporation.

After the sale of Sunfire Corp. to Nortek in 2005, Bob stayed on as head Engineer.
The next couple years, Nortrek slowly moved all production of Sunfire products to China,
laying off all 150+ employees, except for a few head Engineers.

September 2010:
The remaining Sunfire employees (all Engineers) were given the option to either move to Nortek's main Engineering dept. in California, or be out of a job.

Since Bob has chosen to say in Washington, November 12th 2010 will be Bob's last day as a Sunfire employee.

After a great 40 year run, I hope Bob takes a well deserved break, and enjoys the fruits of his labor... I know we have been !!

Congratulations Bob, and Thank You !!!!

I know he is feeling quite a bit better, and he is quite happy about where things are right now. I know that anything he does in the future will be blessed with even more success. and if the economy turns a corner, he will be in the right place at the right time.

I hope Bob's retirement is a great one, like I find mine. Today, I can't figure out how I had enough time to go to work everyday.
It should sound like it isn't there!

Call it more of a working vacation... Bob won't be happy if he's not playing with tubes.

Happy retirement Mr. Carver!! \:D/ Maybe Bob should start a forum list of members he will come visit at there homes to kick back and listen to tunes. Man! that would be a great retirement just traveling around staying at everyone's home. :-k I would be the first on the list for Bob's retirement road trip! :D One warning; The Drunk Crazy Bitch is still out there somewhere and Brock is not talking, might want to skip his house, and :-k maybe Don's house too (she might be there).

Good one! Don't want to Hi-Jack thread.

However, Brock and I sent the DCB packing, along with her cotton swabs and a few other things I will not mention on this forum, to your place for audio advise.

Thank you Bob Carver - your name meant "Quality audio equipment" around my house growing up as a kid in the 80's - I know this is true since I get to enjoy the benefits of some of my Father's equipment today 30+ years later! Your designs have left a legacy - much thanks!
