Looks good, Mike!

Are those blue LEDs around the RCA inputs?

What are you using this for?

Do you have a schematic?

12AX7 is not the best choice for a buffer due to it's non-linearity. Better for guitar amps (unless that's what you're doing 8) .)

What specs do you have? B+? PSU design? AC on heaters?

Resistor cathode bias?

I've made some with 6N6P, 6N1P and 5687 also with CCS (cascode DN2540) and led bias.

What pots/caps/resistors are you using? The alps are very good.

no, it has none of what you asked......

http://www.paia.com/manuals/docs/9305-t ... ematic.pdf

it is a very simple thing, the PS is a wall wart

got the right ch to sound clear but the left is still bad.
ordered a 2 new op amps, but what I did was order the wrong ones...... ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)
lost a whole 2.00 there.... :-$

testing this using my tuner as a source, my cd has tube output so I want put it there....
just a toy to play with and learn how much I really dont know..... 8-[ 8-[ :D
just got an oscilloscope from my dad, forgot he had gotten this from an old man down the street for 25.00 bucks....
now a new toy to play with..... \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

doesn't look simple to me. [-(

I can give you a design that is far simpler and out perform this.

Are you looking for a buffer, no gain, just as a passive tube sound between a source and amp?

Buffer, such as cathode followers can degrage the sound if not done properly but it can still be done very easily.
The less stuff in the signal path the better.

Try this out with a 6N6P (or something similar, changing bias resistors as necessary):
Also you could put a CCS on the plate to keep things stable.
LED's are also a great alternative to cathode resistors and work well with a CCS on the plate.

This is a Cathode follower with bootstrap. See how few components it has? Use a good quality Alps pot (around 10 USD from mouser). AC on the heaters. That's about it.
Maybe some hexfreds on the power supply.
Use Duncan PSUII to design your power supply and get your desired B+ with lowest ripple: http://www.duncanamps.com/psud2/
