Fess Up Angelo

Post by radioeng2 » Sun Jan 19, 2014 8:38 am

Rumor has it your posting all kinds of stuff about some speaker building on Tweeterbook. Cut that shit out. Put it here where it can be seen.

Some of us don't have time for that social crap. Now fess up and show and tell us of the real world what you've got going on.

No wonder we only have a handful of posts a week lately. Clearly, it's all your fault. And don't lie about it either!

Harry,

Please. This is no laughing matter. This is speaker building. A very serious topic. Rises way above a cell phone topic.

It deserves to be posted here for all to see without a secret decoder ring to know what's going on.

Get up Angelo and face the music. Fess up to what you've done....any injuries involved?

Thanks Gary! Sure looks interesting.

Wonder what all is the idea on those? Love the big line sources!

Questions I have...what is the thought on the differences in a big line when made up of the seperate small units versus the big long ones? OK...higher cross? But what about quality otherwise? Does putting the cross up in the mid freq's cause too much trouble? How's cost of a pile like that versus just buying a big ribbon? How hard would building a ribbon be?

Wonder how many sambitches an hour it takes to make those!!

Looks like this is Angelo's thread....but without Angelo so far. ](*,)

The big line sources look to be a wooden copy of Bob's new ALS 1000s.

They use 6.5" woofers instead of the 4", though.

I like the idea of the speaker design with the 5 ribbons and 5 woofers on each side, would really like to see Bob put up something along those lines. 8)

I am also taking applications for some customers.....albeit they are not from bobs hand directly, they bring alot of fun to the party. The five ribbon is a favorite simply because i dropped the top four ribbons and bottom four ribbons. The four ribbon design on the stands turned out nice also . I think the tower is gonna get a black pleather covering. That would look nice i think.
