5.1 Sub Rebirth

The design flaw for the sub amp is notorious. Repair is an option. If you need the owner's manual, service bulletin or schematic, I have them. I might even be able to dig up a few parts replacement International Rectifier parts. Parts are everywhere in boxes since our move. Anyway, back to my story. I found the quickest and easiest way to bring the sub (or two in my case) back to life was to just install a new plate amp.

Here is a pic of one of my Carver subs and a M&K that I used Parts Express plate amps in.

I even built a little summing box to take a stereo output and run a sub with it.

It is a 25K ohm potentiometer.
