AL-III's foam grill?

I Found a thread or two concerning the foam covering for AL-III's but they were dead ends.
anyone able to help locate a few strips of foam.

I got mine at a upholstry shop for under 10.00 dollars...or...

I just painted the metal on mine & left them off; like 'em better this way:

I prefer not having the grills or foam in from fo the ribbon, it's a little brighter without it.

The only one I found was sold out of foam.

Hmmm, this was a fellow forum member offering up his spares, not some web site. I'll have a look later on tonight to see if I can find what I was talking about.

Thanks fellas, I sure like the look with the no foam, thats something I should have thought of. Heck i have been watching it dissapear for years worrying what it will look like with out the foam. Now what to do with the lil gold emblem? maybe cut the tabs and glue it arround the origonal location?

I put my Carver tabs on the very top plate....
