I now predict a dearth of Carver product available on eBay and Audiogon.
It should sound like it isn't there!

I kinda feel sorry for Rolland. What's he gonna do?

Rich, at least you're adding value. This is a whole different ballgame — mano a mano with the man!

I cannot thank you enough! Any special requirements for shipping? I have a Theater Grand Preamp that has a bad hum on one of the optical inputs and a TFM-35X that has developed a profound stutter. I have been aprehensive about sending it to anyone for repair. Look forward to receiving my items soon!

That shouldn't be much of an issue....all the caps he has are new old stock (NOS) so unless he's been applying forming voltage to them periodically, they've been degrading over the years anyway. At $170 rate, Bob must have some great bulk quantity suppliers.

Don't forget that Rita used to have her own Carver service operation and she had tons of original parts in stock. Rolland only got those parts that got chucked into garbage containers when they liquidated Carver, so he may have more parts in stock, but certainly not ALL of the parts.

Rich, I meant the Carver specific parts like switches etc. I'm confident, given enough time,Bob could easily constuct an electronic marvel from a box of junk!! Wonder if a public offering is in the offing? :-k Couldn't be much, but I'd invest a small amount! Sure would like to see the CF2008 Q&A sessions! ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Will Rita also be repairing Brand X tube preamps? Please say yes.

And I wonder if triacs are going to be available again. I have my doubts about a public offering though. I'm pretty sure with Bob's backing this enterprise will be well funded.

Triacs are available now....there's nothing rare or proprietary about a triac; a fairly common component.
