Have a lot of time, spend it fishin' and thinkin'.

One solution might be to charge a fee. That is not too hard to set up.
Using something like PayPal to charge even $1 would stop the spam.
It would also stop a lot of new members, but most of those never post again anyway.
Everything is a trade off.

I know this is a bad idea (?), and many here can improve on it.
Still, there is a lot of expertise here on things other than audio, and this post might churn the brain trust into action.

No, no fees... Donations are fine, but I don't feel comfortable "charging" to be on a public forum.

No fishing either... I have just been working through quite a few personal issues lately, and this place is the least of my worries right now...

You guys are all big boys and girls, I'm sure you can manage.

Um, excuse me?

I'm not complaining. I'm suggesting. As far as anybody stepping up? Give me a damned break. How many times have I.........never mind. You sure do know how to piss people off.

For fucks sake, James. Every time someone volunteers to step up to the plate, they are denied or shot down. Why the fuck would anybody want to step up to the plate if this is the case?

Fuck it. Don't answer that either. I hope everything gets better with your personal crap.

Ok, I'm going to try to fix this a little.....

My father is Not giving anyone Moderator permissions, because he is teaching me how to work on the forum. Please give the old man some slack, he has A LOT of shit going on right now and the forum is not in the top ten of the to-do list... If you have something to "suggest" please PM me, and I will add it to our Forum To-Do list. I will get around to the list after work hours, and MAYBE the weekends...

Please understand, actions for the "suggestions" will not be taken right away.

My father is not going to be online here at the forum very often, so anything that is asked of him, please send to me instead.

Thank you for understanding,

Alex

P.S. The Polos will be out no latter than Friday, so get off our butts!!!

Is there going to be any extra shirts? If so, how much? Maybe I can jump in at the end of this and not have to wait so long. :-"

So either send my (new) fucking shirt, refund my money, or be branded a liar, a cheat, and a thief.
My father is no liar, cheat or thief, he means well, but he just can't get everything done, ESPECIALLY when it isn't the first priority for the day!

All remaining shirts have been sent out!!

For the following, please check your PMs:

Kingman, your package went out today;
Angelo, your connectors went out today;
Robin, your wires went out today; (but I have no UserName for you... please PM me so I can send you the tracking info)

All packages (to my knowlage) have been sent out, if you are still missing something please let me know!

Thank you all for your patience,

Alex

Project for the week.....

James and I have discussed this over the past couple of months.... could y'all at least move, hide or whatever it is that you do these sections of the overall forum? We'll deal with the upgrade and progress as it comes behind the scenes.

Pretty please, with sugar on top? 8)

Give me some lovin', man.

Happy Anniversary CarverForum
Manuals

These are the two lowest forum sub-sections on the forum as it exists today, starting from the main forum page. Alex, give your dad a loving nudge this week to get it done. I'll even spank you on the ass at Carverfest if you want. Just don't tell anybody.
