Very nice! I love the TFM-35! It's interesting that the more research/reading you do how overwhelming your decision process becomes (OCCD). I have read the TFM-35 is one of the best amp's in the TFM line with awesome reviews! OK, I want one, oh wait? The great amp challenge Stereophile put on years ago the M-1.0t kicked major ass! Ok, I want one of those, oh wait? Sunfire! Dam! Downtracking technology and the amp runs cold? WTF? I purchased the Sunfire TGP-III that I just love! OK, I want a Sunfire amp, oh wait? Tubes???? See what I mean? Congratulations on your Carver gear, but this is where it starts!   Go to the Carver Fest and you will return home a drooling basket case needing medication! \:D/
Congrats again!!! I bet is sounds Awesome!

The 35 is a good amp. Though I don't think any of the TFM's are bad. I have two 6cb's that I have no intention of giving up either. I would put their power up against the power of Home Theater AVR's.

Hey thuffman, looking at your list of gear >

AL III, True Sub Mk II, TFM-55, TFM-25 (2), TFM 15 (2), TFM 6CB (2), C-5, TX-8, SDA-490t, TL-3100, TL-3300

It looks like you are using all separates for Home Theater. I am curious what components you are using for each speaker? I was thinking on going this route, was kicking around having the center and surrounds on a separate circuit where I could turn off and on independently of the main 2-channel. This way I would not have the center/surround amps even on while listing to only 2-channel. I am still considering the Sunfire Cinema Grand/ Just can't decide when there are so many good Carver amps to choose from to run H/T like you have set-up. What is your opinion on this? Thanks

My HT is powered by three Carver amps. I have my mains, Thiel CS3.5, powered by a TFM 25, my center, Definitive Technology Mythos 7, powered by a bridged TFM 15cb and my rears powered by another TFM 15cb. It does sound very nice. I have not heard an AVR system that can match the sound for the $$$ I have into it.

I have two systems though. One for 2 channel upstairs were I spend most of my time in the summer and the HT downstairs with the fireplace in the winter. My preamp on the HT is an Outlaw 970. It is okay for 2 channel but its above average for HT. I could not pass up the price for the pre. It ended up being $290 shipped new from Outlaw. They had a crazy deal last winter on them.

Cool, that is what I am looking for, something like you have set up with low $$$, at least for now. I will be purchasing a "new" LCD for Christmas that will take a bite out of my stereo budget, but this analog TV is driving me nuts! haha. Thanks for the reply!

Hope to meet you next time I come down to PGH again for my next business trip! I am trying to hook up with Beemers and Thuffman each time I come down.
