Hi and welcome Greg! What do you have for a preamp? Does the 555 indicate Adcom by any chance? What kind of music do you listen to ? Where are you located ? Boxers or briefs ?

I'm running Mordant Short 30i's, very nice english speakers, great for jazz (and now have bass for the first time ever, thank you 1.0t)
I've had my 1.0t for 4 years, picked it up at a local used Hi-Fi store.

Preamp with the carver is a Proton AP 1000, Thorens 166 MKII turn table, TX-10 tuner,and my daughter stole my cd player.
I don't love Adcom, it's just the user name I use on another board (car related). Jazz is my favorite music, although you will find me listening to almost anything except Rap, Hiphop, and Death Metal.
I'm located in the NY metro area.
Boxers or briefs? Boxers as far as dogs are concerned, and I'm not a lawyer so briefs don't interest me.

We;lcome aboard. Man - NY seems to be getting more crowded with members as of late. We definitely need to see about Rita opening a shop out here, so it won't cost an arm and a leg to ship stuff.
