Fuse help for a Carver Wannabee Newbie
Hi All, I'm new to this forum and hopefully will continue as an active member. I discovered my first piece of Carver equipment recently at a yard sale. It was an M-400T, in it's original carton. I purchased the unit "as is" and it does not power on at all. My question is to anyone who has this unit...What is the fuse type?
In the chamber is a AGC 15 32 volt fuse and it does not appear blown. I have been told that it should be a 250 volt fuse, not a 32. I cannot locate a 15 amp 250 volt fuse anywhere. Is it supposed to be ceramic? I would appreciate any help with the exact fuse type amps and volts, and any other suggestions for troubleshooting. I get a slight vibration or magnetic buzz when the unit is plugged in, not audible but to the touch on the top of the case. There are no lights lit on the LED panel when plugged in. It may very well be toast, but figure it is well worth checking into. Thanks in advance for your advice!
