Hello to Carver Folks! Question about a Carver RAC-6 amp

I'm so happy to find this site and forum! I've been searching for answers about an amp that I have that I can't seem to find any info about.
Years ago I was given a Carver RAC-6 Multi-Room Link/Amp. It's still in the original box, and is beautiful engineering. From the label it appears to have been made in the UK by Quad, which should make it a serious bit of hardware audio wise.
But, despite searching, writing to folks, no one has really been able to provide me with any real information on it, how it is to be used, the quality, etc. I do know that the gent who gave it to me used to do high-end audio installations in homes and businesses, so I assumed it was a distribution amp.
So any information on this would really be appreciated!
