New Here - howdy

Good day to all you Carver fanatics! Very happy to have stumbled onto this site. My lone piece of Carver gear is a mint condition HR-772 that I've owned since new (about 20 years now) and I must say its one of my most prized possessions. While not as impressive as some of the systems I've read about on this forum, it definitely serves my purpose. I'm a huge fan of simple yet accurate 2-channel stero sound and I haven't heard many that can do it better. Too, I'm hooked on the sonic holography imaging and cant fathom replacing my 772 with anything that doesn't have it.

Glad to be aboard.

I'm afraid I may not be able to provide much spiritual guidance to the group as the origin of the holyman handle is chuck full of sarchasm. Hence, please dont tone down the intensity of the forum - its probably the single biggest reason I decided to join - thick skin is required.

Welcome holyman772....

If you love SH... you may want to start looking into a C-1 Preamp, or a C-9 Sonic Holography generator "stand alone unit"
They were the BEST SOUNDING SH Carver ever put out. In the later units, they went digital, and even Bob says it was never quite right after it went digital.
It will sound good, but the C-1 and C-9 sound the BEST...
hehehe good thing both units are pretty cheap :)
Let the corruption begin !!!! \:D/

Welcome to the Carver forum Holyman. Sit back and enjoy the ride......just hang on to your wallet. OCCD is a serious thing. See ya'round campus...
In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

The best way to enjoy digital music reproduction is to never listen to a good analogue reproduction.
