New Member from Australia

Post by J-pole » Thu Mar 18, 2010 1:05 am

Another Member said to me "I lusted after the Phase Linear 400 in my college years and now, years later, I bought and still have it. Nothing spells 70's power like the Phase Linears. The big meters are intimidating....intimidating and impressive!!"

Well thats Me also. He introduced me to this site. I am keen to learn more about the Carver Fest and with a view to attending all the way from Oz.

My main system is a PL5000/PL4000/PL400 series 1. Turntable is a Denon DP-57L with a high end Otofon MC and Denon Transformer. Loudspeakers I listen to are Double Advents (Designed by Henry Kloss) or IMF TLS 80 Transmission Lines (Designed by John Wright). All in like new condition and when age catches up wth the electronics I have a very experienced tech to service them so they make music to die for again.

Welcome. My first, really good audio was a PL4000 and a PL700B, with magnapans. I eventually went to advents, then stacked advents, and stacked advents with a Heil AMT, all in the early 70's. By the late 70's I had a highly modified PL400.

Love your equipment. :D
