New Guy in Hawaii

Hi everyone,

Glad to have found you all. I am an old school Carver fan in Honolulu and have had a LOT of Carver stuff over the years, built from an old 753(?) 65 watt receiver....currently I have a Carver Research Lightstar Reference 1, twin TFM-25s and a TD-1400 tape deck! I still have a lot of my old reference material and catalogs from back in the 80s-90s as well. Past systems have had the CT-6, CT-17 Processor, a couple of the CD players, and even the laserdisc player.

Honestly my Carver stuff needs some help. I have been having intermittent power and channel problems with my amps, so I am hoping you guys here prove to be a great resource as I try to get these problems resolved and in return if I can reach into my long term memory and help some of you guys with questions too.

Thanks for the welcome. I already even got to have a phone convo with Toy Maker!

I wil try to get some pics up of some of the other Carver stuff. I sold some equipment on eBay a few years back, but I even have some dealer items, like the plexi authorized dealer sign and such.

Welcome Jonh! This is a great place to be! I am only interested in your Lightstar as it may be a counterfeit? Send it to me for inspection right away please. :rolleyes:
