We call it OCCD (obsessive Carver Collecting Disorder) and believe me, it's real! Maybe your friend is well, not really a friend at all? either that or he has a crush on your wife and knowing where this OCCD will lead, maybe he has a chance after the Divorce? Just messin with ya! You might have an open ground loop if the connection is broke off? This amp is a great amp is well worth the money sending it in for repair where they refurbish like "new". We suggest to repair shops both on the west coast. Shipping would cost you, but worth it.

Both do an excellent job and know what they are doing. Bob Carver visits regularly at Rita's and you could request Bob Carvers signature while your unit is in for repair > how cool is that?

Welcome to the forum Rezvordwg. I wish I had friends like yours. I'd take all the banged up Carver stuff he wanted to give me! I second the advice given you by Jag_97470. He's absolutely correct. That amp will be like new when it comes back, and you will be able to enjoy it for years.
