I was stationed in Savannah in 1968, and loved it there. Beautiful city back then. Hope it has not changed.

Yes, Hunter AAF. Went through advanced rotary wing flight training there, and out at Ft. Stewart in 1968. Then back to the area again in 1971 for primary fixed wing transition out at Ft. Stewart.

WOW - we are almost neighbors. I live on the Savannah river. I could launch a toy boat and send it down stream with a cold beer to welcome you, but they don't let me interact with new guys on this forum yet. I have not spend enough time in Savannah, but way too much on Tybee Island. My bike knows the back roads to there by heart. I went to Savannah to pick up my MGA when it arrived on a boat from Europe I sure wish I still had that car.

I suspect people from Savannah and Charleston will never understand why people live in other places.

HAHA, funny stuff. Yeah Tybee is great. Well, in the last 20 years I have lived all over the country, and this is the first place I have bought a house..if that tells you something.....
