Hello from Chicago!

Hello, I just found you amazing site. I was researching my recently aquired C-4000 pre amp, M-400 (2x) amps and TX-11 tuner when I came across the site.

I'm just starting out and getting into vintage hifi hobby/lifestyle and need help. The C-4000 doesn't seem to be outputting any signal. When I got the equipement all from the orginal owner, the fuse for the preamp was blown. I replaced the fuse and now can not get the preamp to power up (no lights) or output signal.

What should I look at first to correct the issue?

1'st WELCOME!!!! Second, a pre with a blown fuse can be alot of stuff. I would check the interior boards for dark brown spots around the soldier joints. It may be something as simple as a soldier job, or may need refurbishing. Rita's Vintage Audio is the way to go. First class repair and hopes of an autograph by Bob Carver!!!!!
