Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself.

New to the forum but not to the Hi-Fi hobby. (Does that date me; 'hi-fi'?!)

Have a system that I have cobbled together over the years that includes a TFM55x, TFM6CB, and a pair of AL III+s, among other things.

Have a bid right now on an M500t that I am hoping to win...

Welcome Tom D, glad you found us. You have some nice stuff there, interested in what other item's you may have We love pictures here, post some pictures of your system. On a side note: The M500t is a great unit, but be aware it is approaching 30 years old! Wow! > Carver M-500t released 1981, 250w x 2, with meters. It is recommended Carver units have refurbishment @ 20 years. There are a couple places to have this done we recommend. Rita's > http://www.ritasvintageaudio.net/ that will do a complete rebuild like new and at this location Mr. Carver himself stops by often, and you can request to have him sign your unit > That is Awesome! Another is Rolland in Oregon > http://www.carveraudiorepair.com/serv.html > Both do an excellent job, and you will get your unit back "like new". Your other units, the Carver TFM-55x released 1994, 380w x 2, with meters, and the Carver TFM-6cb released 1992, 65w x 2, slim line are also getting up there. As you can see, components that last over 20 years without service > well, you get the point, that's why we LOVE CARVER! I don't want to scare you, but also check Sunfire! but beware! There are a lot of Sunfire nuts here, me included! If your married, you might also want to warn her what might be coming in the future. What do I mean by that?
