Compatability?

Greetings from Vancouver Island,
I'm looking for some help from some knowledgeable Carver people. I'm considering the purchase of a Carver CM-1090 integrated amp. Is it capable of driving a pair of Linn Kelidh speakers without any issues?

Thanks for the welcome.... I should have mentioned in my previous post that my concern is the fact that the Linns are 4 ohm speakers running in passive mode.

The specs say 150 watts @ 4 ohms. I would think it would be OK but a higher powered amp would be more desirable.

This discussion has now become moot. I was outbid on the 1090. I think I'll defer to 'kingman' and keep looking for more power.

The big secret here is that good audio costs money. Old Carver stuff is a bargain.

The trick is to discover your needs first, and then buy the Carver that you need.

You can do that in reverse by starting with nothing and buying the best Carver in your budget.

The old myth is to buy speakers first
