In 2nd place we have efgh375 with 8 spam posts!

And in 3rd place we have Jatoactuade with 1 miserable spam post.

That was a runaway winner/loser!!!

I've got this theory that they are all from that Brit website that sends our members e-mails.

It's always been bad with spammers. This year, however, it's worse and apparently it will continue to be that way. Some new, fandangled SPAM bot was released this year around Jan 5th or so. Apparently it has some really good capabilities, if you are one of the spammers.

I have noticed an increase tenfold since after the first of the year, not only on this forum but others as well. Hell, the Polk forum gets SPAM on average over 100 times daily now. It gets old, very old quickly. Makes it to where you don't even want to visit due to having to sift through so many SPAM posts/threads.

As already discussed, there has to be a way all new members post in one certain section of the forum(New Members) and this is unseen by all other members. This would give James time to check them out or you Tom since I think you have that ability before they are allowed to post on the public forum. There has to be a way to do that! Come on now....

While I may have the ability, I do not have permission. Y'all will have to talk to James about that.

That's the same loser name from last Friday night, and he posted another 64 posts again last night!!!
I hope James or Dave can come up with something. Maybe close the door to new membership by making the prospect write a membership request stating why he wants to be a member. If they don't talk about specific Carver or Sunfire gear, then refusal! It might be a lot of work to go through them, but it more than likely would be less work than removing all the spam posts made.

Hey, you can't point the finger at me. I've said it before, I'll say it again....while I may have the ability, I do not have permission. Y'all will have to talk to James about that.

I have already tried talking to him about assisting in the forum years ago. I'm not gonna beat a dead horse. The ONLY reason I may have the ability is due to the fact that it makes organizing Carverfest every year 10X easier with me being a "mod". It grants me absolutely no other privilege other than to edit those SPAM posts to say "SPAM", in order to help James spot them quicker.

I'm sorry, but James is the only person here that you need to be talking with concerning spammers. I'm willing to help but without permission? I don't dare do anything other than what permission was granted. This forum is his baby, I'll respect that. Y'all talk him into allowing me to assist him? That's between you and James. I'll stay out of it.
