Hello All 6250 owner

Post by celticguitar » Sat Feb 12, 2011 7:21 pm

Hi all I own 2 6250 The Receiver receivers one form new the other from thrift for $40. The original has a bad channel in phono section due lightning storm the other works first class. I keep trying other vintage amps but I keep comming back to the Carver. My first impression of a Carver setup was mid seventies when a girlfreinds dad had a Carver rack system It was quite impressive. I picked up mine after a failed Sansui amp after many repairs failed and went in the trash. My current system is a Dual 1219 TT Carver 6250 Pioneer EQ, Denon tape deck, NakmichI CD player, Koss cd burn and a Teac A4300 rtr and the 6250 drives a mint set of HPM 100's till the walls shake. I find that Carvers have a love hate relationship either you love or you don't on other forums . I happen to love mine \:D/
