Newbie here!

Hello hello!

I'm a younger guy ( 28 ) and I've been bitten by the audio bug since I was 10. I'm a true fanatic, I belong to a few other forums, but just recently discovered the world of Carver audio.

I recently bought a beautiful pair of Carver Platinum IV's

Anyway, I'm looking forward to contributing to the forum and taking in as much knowledge as possible from you guys that have much more experience than I do.

I hope everyone is having a great Fourth of July weekend!

1044InProgress is interesting. Ten codes have different meaning in different places, but in most of NC means "RIOT".

Kingman and I live near part of Western NC, he in Anderson and me near Westminster.

Re: Newbie here!

At 28 I had a new Bride and a mattress on the floor, no bed, chairs, or sofa. Our music was a Symphonic deal I bought for her at one of those "motel sales" when we were dating so as not to tip her off I was a dead beat. It was OK for the day.
I went to Woolco and got a 19" TV on credit for 20 bucks a month/forever.

A few years later we have a better audio system, but she has no idea how much better it is.

Another Carolina member!!!

Welcome home.
In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

The best way to enjoy digital music reproduction is to never listen to a good analogue reproduction.

Re: Newbie here!

It's really nice to see all these Carolina boys! I'm in good company, I guess..

Oh and I just recently got out of a seven year relationship with the girl that I used to plan my life around.. so now I'm acquiring as much as I can to make up for lost time.. haha

You guys with girls that share the same love of audio are lucky. Hang on to them!

I will gladly sacrifice money, space, heat, time and energy for good sound.
