Hey all; yes I'm the same UM from the other forum; thought I'd join here also to be a part of the greater community. For those who don't know me; I've owned Carver gear since the mid-90's when Carver Corp was going out of business, sadly. All of my carver gear was demo closeouts as the stores were stopping retailing the Carver brand. I had a CT-3, TFM-35x, and SD/A 360 as my main system driving Magnepan MG-IIB's. My turntable was an Acoustic Research XB91.

These days I'm running a C-1000a as 5.1 HT receiver; and it's also serving as a pre-amp for my 2.1 channel system with a TFM-45 amp. I've upgraded my MG-IIB's to Carver AL-III's which I've re-foamed. I came across a Sunfire TSW MKII locally for a great price and it blends perfectly with the AL-III's. I switched over to a Harman/Kardon ST-7 turntable after having so much trouble with the headshell/socket design on the AR table. The HK actually sounds much better with it's linear tracking arm!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
