I guess it's time to say hello

Post by BillD » Fri Jun 22, 2007 6:22 pm

I've been lurking around the posts for a few weeks and thought it would only be proper to introduce myself. I'm a retired (early) engineer (aerospace and computer). Took a few EE courses during college and grad school at the University of Michigan.

Bought my Carver gear starting in 1980 with the C-4000 and C-500 (avatar). Also have an M-400 (cube). Thinking of getting some more amps for HT. The big amp requires ventilation (fans) to operate for hours on end, so it is out for HT.

You guys seem nice. Too bad I can't make Carverfest. I guess you should add me to the west of the rockies list (or is it south of the rockies :-k
It should sound like it isn't there!

Howdy!
Political Correctness...defined

A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

In a recent press conference, President Obama remarked, "If I had a city, it would look just like Detroit."

WAAaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzuUP!
In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

The best way to enjoy digital music reproduction is to never listen to a good analogue reproduction.

Bill, I'm going to resurrect this 3 year old thread to correct the heinous wrong I did you by not saying "HELLO" and WELCOME" way back when...
