Welcome rolereversal.

I too have silvers with the single posts except in black .

Last night I hooked up my TFM-45 and newly aquired TFM-4.0 bridged to the silvers but haven't had a chance to really sit and listen to them. Will post later how it goes.
Sunfire TGP-3 & 4, Sunfire 300 x 2 amp, Carver TFM-15cb, (3)M-500t, TFM-45, TFM 4.0, HTR-880, CD/A 390t, C-9 , Amazing Silvers

Obviously, you haven't come to grips with you affliction yet... but that's ok, (we're here to help you)

The 1st thing you must do, is sell us all of that "nasty, bad" Carver gear !!
You must purge yourself of this obsession...

OCCD, and what you can do about it.

Hi, rolereversal, welcome to the forum.

I have the same speakers and I was driving them with an M500t. They sounded pretty good but would "run out of steam" at high (Live) volume. I've never had experience with the 1.5 but I got tfm42 which is a later model amp but with the same power (375 per chan @ 8ohms) It made a real difference to the Silvers. They do not run out of steam!

The only concern I would have is the age of the amp. I had to send mine to Roland ($325.00) for refurb. I paid $250.00 for it so the total was $600.00. Roland charges a flat rate (300 + shipping) but he rebuilds the total amp. I've learned that anything from ebay is a gamble.

Anyway, good luck and again welcome to the forum.

Frank.

Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.

Just razzin' ya' bro'. Get back to your Crown and Coke.
In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

The best way to enjoy digital music reproduction is to never listen to a good analogue reproduction.
